Torero fans!

We are heading to Ireland tomorrow and the team has just finished 5 days of training to get ready for the trip. We spent time at Mission Bay and it was fantastic to play and appreciate how fortunate we are to live or go to school in San Diego. However, we are so excited to travel to Ireland and England and the culture and climate should give the lads a wonderful experience!

As I’ve mentioned in previous letters this trip is meant to provide a tremendous cultural experience and team bonding opportunity. Some of the lads have never left the country before and when we travel as a team during the season we don’t get to “stop and smell the roses.” I believe this trip will provide a great platform to have a successful 2012 soccer season.

When we get back we will be embarking on our season but we also have to concentrate on our 11th Annual Golf Fundraiser at the Riverwalk Golf Club on August 28th. We are still looking for sponsors and participants so please read the attached invitation and rsvp and contact us at the Office of Athletic Development at 1 619 260 5917  asap! Registration is at 10:30am with a 12pm shotgun start and it should be a great day out, capped off with our season opener USD v UC Irvine at 7pm.
