Great Season comes to an end for Grant Forrest at NCAA Regionals

Grant Forrest just completed his last event of his junior campaign last week at the NCAA Regionals in San Antonio, TX. Even though the Toreros didn’t qualify as a team for regionals, Grant was selected to compete as an individual at one of the six regional sites. Grant competed at  Briggs Ranch CC May 15-17th and ended up posting rounds of 74-71-77, finishing in a T-35th. Grant needed to be the top individual outside of the Top 5 qualifying teams to advance to Nationals.  Even though Grant didn’t qualify for Nationals, he compiled one of the best individual seasons for the Torero golf program. Grant finished the season with 3 wins, 2 Top 5’s, 2 Top 10’s, 4 Top 20’s and never finished outside 35th. Grant was also recently selected to represent the European Team in the Palmer Cup which will be held June 26-28 at Walton Heath GC in Surrey, England.  The Ryder Cup format is compiled of the top 10 collegiate players from both America and Europe.
